DESCRIPTION:Paul Dunbar and the Black Winter Band to launch debut album at the Music Room in May\nPaul Dunbar and the Black Winter Band are set to launch their debut album at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall’s fabulous Music Room on Monday 7th May 2018. \nLiverpool-born\, Paul Dunbar is a soul\, rock and blues singer-songwriter described as having a powerful\, soulful\, signature vocal with comparisons to the likes of Joe Cocker\, Bruce Springsteen\, Otis Redding and Tom Waits. \nHaving toured the UK and Europe\, he’s performed with the likes of Martha Reeves & The Vandellas\, Big Country\, Frank Turner\, King King\, James Taylor Quartet\, CC Smugglers and most recently supporting Jon Gomm (May 2017) and appearing at 2016’s The Last Waltz at Liverpool Philharmonic Music Room\, he is now releasing his incredible 10-track debut album Made My Peace With You with a very special launch night. \nPerforming with his newly formed Black Winter Band\, alongside very special guests on the night\, Dunbar’s live shows are renowned for heart-stopping\, scintillating power and versatility\, coupled with an emotive and heartfelt delivery of rock\, blues and soul classics in the making\, showcasing the range of vocal\, songwriting and performing talents of this rising star. \n…this was just the most gravity pulling night\, the most scintillating adventure. The groups grew in popularity with their mixture of traditional and contemporary folk songs from around the world and around the corner\, such as Maggie May\, Woman Sweeter Than Man\, The Family of Man\, Black and White\, and The Leaving of Liverpool. \nThe Spinners enjoyed nationwide success but were never more at home than when performing in front of their home crowd\, often at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. The group went their separate ways in 1988 with Cliff retiring to Australia\, and Tony returning to his first musical love with his own jazz band. Hughie and Mick continued as successful solo folk performers. \n  \nThe Spinners Legends sees Hughie and Mick reunited ‘In Their Liverpool Home’ with musical director\, double bass player\, friend and honorary Spinner ‘Count’ John McCormick for a show at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall’s Music Room.
