SUMMARY:Liverpool Acoustic presents Skylon plus support @ LEAF 27/11/21
DESCRIPTION:Skylon – a musical collaboration between Dorothy Bird\, paulfcook\, Luke Moore \n\n\n\nSkylon is the answer to the question ‘would three musicians that enjoy working together ever accidentally form a band’? The project began when paulfcook (guitar\, backing vocals) invited Luke and Dorothy to collaborate on a piece he had written the music for. Not long after\, the trio had written and recorded their debut EP\, each working remotely from home studios in Berlin\, London and Liverpool. Skylon debuted their live set in August in London and are now looking forward to launching their new EP. Skylon have had airplay on BBC Introducing\, Exile FM and Mersey Radio. \n\n\n\nhttps://skylonband.com/ \n\n\n\n+++ \n\n\n\nKatie NicholasAward winning singer-songwriter Katie Nicholas quickly gained recognition for her self-produced music videos as well as captivating audiences on the live stage with her intricate lyrics and skilful guitar cross-picking. In 2015 Katie released her first album “Dizzy”. The independent campaign generated such a buzz that her personalised pre-order gifts sold out on first batch! More recently\, Katie visited Abbey Road Studios and Blackbird Studio in Nashville TN to begin recording her second album. Upon returning Katie decided it was time to try her hand at self-producing\, using the studio stems in a way where she could achieve the sound she sought after. With a recent feature on the SSL 2 advert\, and an artist endorsement with Aston Microphones and Auden Guitars\, there is plenty of interest buzzing around her musical projects and online content. \n\n\n\n+++ \n\n\n\nMike RyanMike Ryan is a singer/songwriter from Wirral. He writes and records at home on to 8-track. Mike released his debut album ‘Night’ in January\, containing the single ‘I’m With You’\, which was produced by Bill Ryder-Jones. His self-titled second album is out this October on Meadows Records. \n\n\n\n+++ \n\n\n\nNicola Hardman“There is something about Nic that draws you in\, captivating you\, leaving you wanting to hear more’’ Buz MagazineNicola Hardman is a theatrical alt-pop singer-songwriter originally from Liverpool\, noted by reviewers Get Into This for her ‘kooky avant-garde-ness..”Hardman released her new album ‘Celestial Firebird’ March 2020 featuring her single ‘Be Kind’ which has already received air play on local radio stations with a live show for the IWD Showcase at women’s educational unit Blackburne House Liverpool curated by women’s performance activist group We Want Women. Previously\, she released her song ‘Forever (and ever)’ in Nov 2018 which also features on ‘Celestial Firebird’. “Hardman seems to break some new and unexpected ground – if that is even possible for an artist this versatile.” (Liverpool Acoustic) \n\n\n\n+++ \n\n\n\nRachel BurnettRachel is an 18 year old singer-songwriter from Liverpool\, and studies singing\, composition and saxophone at the Junior Royal Northern College of Music. She is currently in a gap focusing on her music production and composition\, before going to study Music at the University of Manchester next year.

SUMMARY:Esme Bridie\, Henry Bateman and Ric Neale @ Studio2 Parr Street 07/06/19
DESCRIPTION:Liverpool Acoustic Live presents Esme Bridie\, Henry Bateman and Ric Neale in concert at Studio2 Parr Street on Friday 7th June 2019. \nPresented as a songwriters’ circle\, this special show will feature all three musicians sharing the stage performing solo songs alongside exciting duo and trio collaborations. \nEsme Bridie grew up in Merseyside and began writing songs as a teenager. Influenced by classic singer- songwriters like Paul Simon and Joni Mitchell\, she has now crafted her unique sound combining elements of folk\, pop\, blues\, jazz and indie.  Esme recently released her first album\, ‘Today it Rains’ through independent record label\, Klee Music . Her album has gained glowing reviews from the likes of GIGsoup\, Impact magazine\, Liverpool Noise and Liverpool Acoustic. \nHenry Bateman was recently described by Spill Magazine as ‘perhaps the greatest undiscovered talent today’. His music falls somewhere between the worlds of ambient\, progressive rock and folk musics; somewhere between Peter Gabriel\, Neil Finn and James Taylor\, with a virtuoso acoustic guitar style reminiscent of the likes of Nick Drake and Michael Hedges. He’s doing his own thing; at the age of just 22\, he’s just released his third solo album ‘Hide & Seek’ to high critical acclaim. \nRic Neale is a musician and songwriter. His new record “All That Counts” sees him return to his roots as a solo piano player and vocalists as he brings five brand new original songs to life in a live setting. This will add to his cannon of three solo releases so far. He has just finished working as Songwriter\, Musical Director and performer in the sell out show “Dancing Bear” with Jamie Fletcher and Company that toured The West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds and The Contact Theatre in Manchester. Ric has performed in with of a range of artists including Jason Donovan\, David Mead and Chris Helme\, and has lectured on the craft of songwriting for over ten years. \nThis is Liverpool Acoustic’s first show at Studio 2 and we’re delighted to welcome these three talented singer-songwriters to mark the occasion. We’d love you to join us! \nTickets are only £6 in advance and £8 on the door. \nDoors open at 7.30pm for an 8.00pm start.

SUMMARY:Phil Hare @ 81 Renshaw 05/10/18
DESCRIPTION:Phil Hare is an acoustic guitarist\, troubadour\, and mentor. \nInspired to buy an acoustic guitar in 1977 after discovering the words and music of Roy Harper\, John Martyn and Mike Chapman\, Phil started writing folksy ballads and songs and doing ‘floor spots’ around the many folk clubs in his native Wirral and neighbouring Liverpool. Since then Phil has built a successful career playing at festivals\, clubs and venues across the country\, and has an extensive catalogue of recorded music. SUMMARY:Liverpool Acoustic Live - Tom George album launch 01/09/17
DESCRIPTION:Liverpool Acoustic are proud to welcome Tom George as he launches his brand new album Gravity at 81 Renshaw on Friday 1st September. \nTom George is a Liverpool creative who is impossible to pigeonhole. In twenty years in his adopted city he has embarked on countless projects across many art forms but always returns to his primary passion\, music-making. As a guitarist and singer\, Tom usually performs solo or with sparse backing\, but the recordings he creates are richly layered and melodic. Tom’s previous album Postcards was praised by Liverpool Acoustic as “both eclectic and cohesive” and he has taken his time creating a worthy follow-up album\, Gravity. At the launch Tom will be debuting songs from the album alongside his more familiar tunes such as Drifter and Womankind. \nSupporting Tom on the night will be Evie Moran\, a 15 year old singer songwriter from Liverpool UK who has already impressed some significant music industry figures in a small space of time. She has performed at The Adlib Industry Showcase at the Arts Centre in April 2017\, Merseyrail Sound Station\, Rocking on the River sessions at the Pier Head and is due to appear at Eppiefest at the former home of Brian Epstein on 27th August. \nCompleting the lineup is Liverpool Acoustic’s Tuesday Tunes co-host Pete King who is celebrating his performance at Tom’s Gravity album launch with the release of a brand new song coincidentally called Weightless. \nSo why not kick off a brand new month with exciting new music and an exiting young performer in Liverpool Acoustic’s lovely new venue? \nLiverpool Acoustic Live\nTOM GEORGE – ‘GRAVITY’ ALBUM LAUNCH\nEvie Moran\nPete KingFriday 1st September 2017\n7.30pm doors\, 8.00pm start \n\n\n\nTickets £6 advance\, £7 on the door\nwegottickets.com/liverpoolacoustic\nCheck out our loyalty card scheme81 Renshaw\n81 Renshaw Street\, Liverpool L1 2SJ
