DESCRIPTION:Liverpool Acoustic Afternoon @ 81 Renshaw 03/11/18\nDue to popular demand (i.e. some people asked us!) the Liverpool Acoustic Afternoon now takes place on the first Saturday every month. \nThe afternoon features one or two booked guests with 20 minute sets sandwiched between lovely layers of open mic performers. \nPerforming for us this month: \n\nWooden Rocket\nTerry Gray\n\nThe event is hosted by Derek King\, Stuart Todd\, and Graham Holland. \nAs always this event is free. We take a collection which is divided between the booked acts and hosts\, but there’s absolutely no obligation to make a donation. \nThis event takes place in the performance room at the back of the venue\, and is open to all ages. DESCRIPTION:Celebrate 50 years of The Beatles’ White Album at Leaf on 22nd November\nIn 2016 a group of local\, national and international musicians fronted by Roxanne de Bastion and Thom Morecroft gathered together at Leaf on Bold Street to recreate the groundbreaking Beatles album Revolver\, 50 years to the day since its release. In 2017 Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band received the ’50 Years of’ treatment\, with The Ragamuffins as house band. \nFast forward to Thursday 22nd November 2018 and The Ragamuffins along with Roxanne\, Thom and a host of friends and special guests will be taking on their biggest challenge yet – recreating the 30 song double album The Beatles – known to everyone as the White Album – on its 50th anniversary. \nAlready confirmed for this epic show are local artists Eleanor Nelly\, Johnny Sands and Rachael Jean Harris. The songs each of them will be performing from the double album will be revealed on the night. No spoilers here! \nJust like with the previous shows you won’t find any carbon copies of Beatles songs. DESCRIPTION:Little Sparrow would like to invite you to join her for a magical night of music at The Bridgewater Hall\, Manchester. \nThis special night marks her return to headline performance in Manchester for the first time in over two years and joining her for this twin headline show will be the wonderful Elfin Bow. \nThis night will see Little Sparrow & Elfin Bow complete a trilogy of performances together this year\, starting in April with a hugely successful performance for Liverpool Acoustic at the Philharmonic Hall Music Room and continuing with a Songwriters Circle event (also featuring Bonnie Dobson) at Theatr Clwyd\, Wales on October 19th. \nEach artist will perform a full set of their own enchanting music and will also join each other on stage to share some special musical moments together.\nThis event will take place in The Barbirolli Room. \nLittle Sparrow’s beautifully emotive use of expression mirrors the sincerity of her delivery\, making her someone not to be missed. Her delicately crafted folk songs are created with a combination of flawless vocals\, strings\, guitars\, percussion and tender harmonies. \nElfin Bow’s music is a fairytale experience; pastoral psych-folk with an undercurrent of electronic ambience.
