The Showcase event will take place on Friday 11th November at the View Two Gallery.

Doors open at 6.45pm, with the event starting at 7.15pm and finishing by 11.15pm. It’s a long night, but we’ve got lots of songs to enjoy.

Entry will be £5 in advance and on the door, with all money raised being split between Marie Curie Cancer Care and Garston Animal Rescue, in memory of Liverpool Acoustic team member Sharon Jones who died in May 2011.

Each of the songwriters (or their nominated musicians) will perform their entry, and an image of the piece of art that inspired it will be projected onto the wall for the audience to see.

Each song will be scored by the panel of judges, based on composition, lyrics, melody and originality. The quality of performance will not be a consideration. Once all of the songs have been performed, the judges will decide on a winner.

After all the songs have been performed the audience members will be given the chance to vote for their favourite song.
