I live in Salford. Can I enter?

Unfortunately not. The Challenge is only open to those living in the area covered by the Liverpool Acoustic website – Liverpool, Merseyside, West Lancs, West Cheshire, Warrington and Halton.

I can’t make it to the Entry Event on the afternoon of Saturday 8th October. Can I still enter?

Updated 9th October: All of the places at this year’s Showcase Event have been taken, so unfortunately if you didn’t make it to the Entry Event this year you won’t be able to enter. Given the high demand for places, we’ll be changing the format for next year’s Challenge to enable as many songwriters as possible to enter.

I can’t make it to the Showcase Event on 11th November. Can I still enter?

Songwriters can nominate other musicians to play their song entry at the Showcase Event if they so wish.

I can write songs but I’m not a particularly gifted performer. Will this go against me?

No. All the songs at the Showcase Event will be judged on their own merits – the level of performance will not be a factor.
