STAND AND DELIVER!!! Meet the Highwaymen, Robbers and Brigands of England at the Music Room on 8th March!

stand and deliver pilgrims way

STAND AND DELIVER is the energetic, exciting and entertaining new show from Manchester folk group Pilgrims’ Way. Riding into the Music Room on Friday 8th March the evening features stories of the highwaymen, robbers and brigands of England told through traditional English folksong and 1980s disco!

Formed in a Stockport pub in early 2010, Pilgrims’ Way has grown to incorporate a dazzling array of instrumentation and millinery. With the extraordinarily omni-skilled musician Jon Loomes (22 instruments), champion Renaissance woodwind parper and oboe wrangler Jude Rees, and funk-master bassist Heather Sirrel joining founder members Tom Kitching (fiddle) andEdwin Beasant (drums) along the way, the prospect of an early night is slim.

Off the back of acclaimed albums Wayside Courtesies (2011) and Red Diesel (2016), and Stand and Deliver (2017), the band are out on the road again. Prime the mild pump, waterproof the revolving mirror ball, and strap on your dancing trousers!

Tickets are £14 (£17 concessions) available from the Liverpool Philharmonic box office in person, by phone 0151 709 3789 and online at liverpoolphil.com.

Doors open at 7pm with the show starting at 8pm.
