It Takes Two: Merseyside’s Best Vocal Duos come to the Music Room this Wednesday

For this very special show on Wednesday 5th December 2018 Liverpool Acoustic brings to the Music Room four of the very best vocal duos performing on Merseyside today. Each stunning duo – ME and DeboeLimeranceTwo Black Sheep, and White Little Lies – will play their own set, and with the possibility of surprise collaborations this is an evening not to be missed!

ME and Deboe (Mercy Elise and Sarah Deboe) are famed for their driving guitar style, super-tight harmonies and sharply observed lyrics. With a style all of their own nobody sounds quite like ME and Deboe!

Limerance (Jenny Coyle and Calum Gilligan) perform with one guitar, one microphone and two voices in perfect harmony. Their on-stage chemistry is clear for all to see and hear, with harmonies reminiscent of Simon and Garfunkel.

Two Black Sheep (Amy Chalmers and Ian Davies) accompany their well-crafted folk songs with violin and guitar, and two harmonious voices. On the night Two Black Sheep will be joined on stage by a string quartet to present songs from their brand new album The Earth Below due for release early next year.

White Little Lies (Vanessa Murray and Daniel Saleh) is the newest of the four duos. Each an established musician in their own right, together they combine to showcase original Americana songs with delightful country folk style harmonies.

Limerance (Jenny Coyle and Calum Gilligan) are an acoustic Americana duo, based in Liverpool. Playing original songs with heartfelt, optimistic and interesting lyrics, they have a growing repertoire of original music. Their unique performances comprise of one microphone, one acoustic guitar and two voices in close harmony, which have been compared to Simon and Garfunkel and First Aid Kit. Limerance have an excellent reputation for their live shows, combining their unmistakable chemistry together with light-hearted chatter, making for engaging performances.

TWO BLACK SHEEP

Two Black Sheep are songwriting duo Amy Chalmers (violin and vocals) and Ian Davies (acoustic guitar and vocals). Separately they each have their own musical pedigree – Amy is a respected violinist, vocalist and music arranger and Ian has live band, TV credits and arena performances to his name. But it’s when they perform together the magic really comes alive!
