Here at Liverpool Acoustic we’ve been following the career of local singer-songwriter Lizzie Nunnery since she started recording her songs ‘way back when’. In fact, we liked her so much we asked her to play our first ever Liverpool Acoustic Live event back in the heady days of February 2009 (she said yes!).

Since then we’ve enjoyed her EPs and albums, both solo and in recent years with husband and musical partner Vidar Norheim. Check our our review of the album Black Hound Howling hereLizzie Nunnery and Vidar Norheim now perform as a duo – and their music is totally captivating.

We’re delighted to announce Lizzie Nunnery and Vidar Norheim will be playing a very special concert inside the cafe at the world-renowned Tate Liverpool as part of Folk on the Dock 2017.

Support is from local duo Shoes4Brakes.

Tickets for the show are £8, available to buy in advance from wegottickets.com or on the door. Food will be available from when the doors open at 7.00pm through to 9.00pm, and the music kicks off at 8.00pm.

Lizzie and Vidar’s first album Company of Ghosts was nominated for Best Debut in the Spiral Earth Awards, and Radio 2’s Mike Harding listed it in his top 10 albums of the year. In 2012 they released their acclaimed second album Black Hound Howling, bringing together ballads of apocalypse with anti-capitalist anthems and beat poetry.

Lizzie has played across the UK, and in 2012 performed at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall and Belfast Waterfront Hall with The Irish Sea Sessions. She is also an award winning playwright.

Vidar has toured worldwide as a member of Liverpool’s alt pop unit Wave Machines and works extensively as a jazz and folk musician. In 2011 he was named as Norway’s most promising song writing talent.
