According to Marvin Gaye and Kim Weston, “It takes two (Baby)”. Whether it’s a Twix, a Bounty, or a Kit Kat (original, not those weird four finger ones…) some of the best things in life come in twos.
So to celebrate reaching 2,222 likes (give or take a couple!) on the Liverpool Acoustic Facebook page we’re giving away 2 pairs of tickets to our 7th anniversary show before they go on general sale next week.
The show takes place on Friday 26th February 2016 at the View Two Gallery, and tickets will be available from Monday 14th December at wegottickets.com/liverpoolacoustic
Headlining will be Manchester’s Little Sparrow whose album Wishing Tree has been attracting positive attention (and five star reviews!). Little Sparrow (Katie Ware) has also gained lots of new fans from her local performances this year, and we’re looking forward to welcoming her back to the View Two Gallery, this time with the full band!
Support is provided by Liverpool Acoustic Songwriting Challenge winner Maria Silker who’ll be using the night to launch her brand new album.
Completing the lineup is special guest Miriam Crespo from Switzerland who’ll be visiting Liverpool as part of her European tour.
The competition closes at 5pm on Sunday 13th December, and the two lucky winners drawn at random from all correct answers will be informed the next day.
Well done to Mark Dennis and Chloe Jones who correctly answered R2 Rock n Reel Magazine.
And for a bit of fun, here’s a video of a man sticking 2,222 cocktail sticks in his beard. Just because!
Liverpool Acoustic is the only website of its kind in the UK. It was founded by Graham Holland in April 2008 as a central resource for the vibrant and exciting acoustic music scene in Liverpool and the Greater Merseyside area. The website publishes news from the local acoustic music scene, previews of upcoming events, reviews of music releases and gigs, and the Liverpool Acoustic Spotlight podcast. This content is available for free via email subscription. The diary lists acoustic events including festivals, theatre concerts, folk clubs, showcases and open mic nights.
