Wirral Folk Festival returns to Whitby Sports and Social Centre from Thursday 4th to Sunday 7th June 2015.
This annual one-site festival returns for its 11th year with headline act, legendary folk rockers Fairport Convention.
Also performing across the four days are Kieran Goss, Cara Dillon, Richard Digance, While & Matthews, The Houghton Weavers, Blackbeard’s Tea Party, Urban Folk Quartet, Harvey Andrews, Reg Meuross, and many more.
There are plenty of local favourites taking part too, including John O’Connell, Simply Dylan, Elbow Jane, and Merry Hell.
In addition to the main concerts there is a full programme of mini concerts, workshops, ‘Meet the artists’ sessions, craft stalls, food and drink, real ale (obviously!), late night extras, jam sessions, watercolour demonstrations, open mic sessions, storytelling, morris dancing, and more.
Camping and caravanning is available on site (with decent showers too!) so you can stay for the whole weekend and enjoy the good music, good food, good drink (did we mention the real ale?), and good company.

The website publishes news from the local acoustic music scene, previews of upcoming events, reviews of music releases and gigs, and the Liverpool Acoustic Spotlight podcast. This content is available for free via email subscription. The diary lists acoustic events including festivals, theatre concerts, folk clubs, showcases and open mic nights.
