The Merseyside Guitar Show takes place on Sunday 24th November 2013 from 10.00am to 4.00pm at Aintree Racecourse Exhibition Centre, and this year promises to be the biggest show yet, with every inch of exhibition space already sold out.
In its eleventh year this is now one of the UK’s biggest regional shows dedicated to guitars. It features four floors with more than 80 exhibitors, collectors and dealers all eager to buy, sell and trade new, second-hand and vintage guitars, amps and accessories. There promises to be plenty ofspecial bargains in time for Christmas.
On the live stage, Fret-King Guitars will feature legendary ex-Argent frontman, John Verity and band returning to Merseyside by popular demand and local sensations, The Amazing Kappa Band. Also appearing are The Andy Bennett Band with their unique take on rock/blues classics and swing-jazz guitarist Anth Purdy, just back from a stint in Los Angeles, with DWJ Pedals. Workshops and demos including Twinstomp Effects, Tayden Speakers, Brunetti Amps, Bose Systems and Systems Workshop.
Also exhibiting this year is internet phenomenon, guitarist Rob Chapman (aka The Monkey Lord), who has more than 100,000 followers on his YouTube channel. The show is sponsored by John Hornby Skewes, Fret-King and Vintage Guitars and Promenade Music.
Many national and independent stores, luthiers and dealers are attending, and it’s a great day out for any guitar enthusiast.
There’s free parking, and easy access from Aintree’s Merseyrail station. There’s also a cafe and licensed bar on site too.
