The award-winning Liverpool Acoustic Live is hosting its first ever Youth Special this coming Friday 22nd March 2013 at the View Two Gallery on Mathew Street.
As part of our commitment to supporting young performers we’re featuring four of the best under 18s who’ve played for us in support or open mic spots over the past year and who we think deserve the chance to play a full set.
On the bill we’ve got (in order of performance) Sophia Ben-Yousef (15), George Lawless (17), Milly Pye (16), and Dominic Dunn (16).
Tickets are £5 in advance from wegottickets.com/liverpoolacoustic or £6 on the door.
Doors open at 8.00pm and the music starts with Sophia at 8.30pm.
Although this is our Youth Special we have kept the ’14 and over’ age limit on attendance, and we suggest that anyone under the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult.
You can read all about the performers and listen to a song from each of them on the Liverpool Acoustic Spotlight #88.
Sophia Ben-Yousef and Milly Pye will both be appearing on Billy Butler’s BBC Radio Merseyside show between 2.30pm and 3.00pm on Friday 22nd March to talk about their music and gigs, and to play some songs. No doubt Sophia will be mentioning the fact that she’s performing first because she has to dash off to play at the Miss Liverpool event later the same night!
You can listen on 95.8 FM, 1485 AM, DAB, and online.
And since you’re on the Internet (you’re reading this, aren’t you?) why not click and ‘like’ the facebook page for the View Two Gallery here?

Liverpool Acoustic is the only website of its kind in the UK. It was founded by Graham Holland in April 2008 as a central resource for the vibrant and exciting acoustic music scene in Liverpool and the Greater Merseyside area. The website publishes news from the local acoustic music scene, previews of upcoming events, reviews of music releases and gigs, and the Liverpool Acoustic Spotlight podcast. This content is available for free via email subscription. The diary lists acoustic events including festivals, theatre concerts, folk clubs, showcases and open mic nights.
