Last year we put out a call on our facebook page for any local acoustic musicians who have original acoustic songs that we could play on the Christmas edition of the Liverpool Acoustic Spotlight.
The result was the Liverpool Acoustic Spotlight #60 – 2011 Christmas Special featuring eight fantastic original Christmassy acoustic songs from across the region. OK, we tell a lie. One was a cover of a carol, and one was far from acoustic, but they were so good that we couldn’t leave them out.
This year we’re looking to do the same again, so if you’re a local(ish), acoustic(ish) artist with an original Christmas, New Year or winter song that you’d like to share with the world then head on over to our Spotlight page, read the conditions, then submit your song using the SoundCloud dropbox uploader.
The deadline for submissions is 30th November, so what are you waiting for? A one-horse open sleigh?
Liverpool Acoustic is the only website of its kind in the UK. It was founded by Graham Holland in April 2008 as a central resource for the vibrant and exciting acoustic music scene in Liverpool and the Greater Merseyside area. The website publishes news from the local acoustic music scene, previews of upcoming events, reviews of music releases and gigs, and the Liverpool Acoustic Spotlight podcast. This content is available for free via email subscription. The diary lists acoustic events including festivals, theatre concerts, folk clubs, showcases and open mic nights.
