Liverpool Acoustic Live – Live Music Night of the Year 2012

Would you Adam and Eve it? We’ve only gone and won Live Music Night of the Year 2012 at the first ever Liverpool Music Awards! Thanks to the judges who looked at all the nominations and decided to put us through to the last three, and to everyone who voted for us.

We don’t run our live music events to make money – we do it for the love of music and to support not only the local music scene but also touring musicians from across the country and around the world. After costs, all of the money we take from ticket sales and on the door goes to the performers – just the way we like it. So it’s really nice for an event like ours to be recognised by the wider Liverpool music scene.

There are a number of people we’d like to thank for their help and support along the way.

  • Ken Martin, the owner of the View Two Gallery. In our opinion, the best acoustic venue in the city.
  • The team of door helpers lead by the ever-enthusiastic Roger Tolley.
  • Billy Butler for regularly mentioning our gigs, and frequently interviewing our featured musicians live on his radio show.
  • Paul Reay, Rae Clark, and Barry Briercliffe who’ve helped us out at many of our events.
  • All of the musicians who’ve played for us over the years.
  • Anyone who’s ever paid on the door or bought a ticket for an event and in so doing has helped support live, original acoustic music in the city. We salute you!
You can find a list of our future live events on our website liverpoolacoustic.co.uk/live and for those of you who aren’t sure what the events are about you can find out everything you need to know here.

The best thing is that lots of the nominees said to me – whether they won or not – was that being nominated has really encouraged them to reach out to new audiences and grow their fanbase and that the support they’ve received in return has been really inspirational to them.”
