Liverpool Acoustic Newsletter – September 2011

Well, it was certainly an eventful August, wasn’t it? Yobs rioted, Italian visitors cancelled, eXtra gig postponed, replacement gig hastily arranged, bit of a fuss caused, a few feathers ruffled, Live event a big success, Above the Beaten Track even more so. Phew!

But there’s no time to sit back and take a rest, because September is already upon us and is set to bring lots of musical treats as we head into the autumn.

The perfectly formed Hope Street Feast returns on Sunday 18th September, with foods from around the world, beer galore, a craft fair, and lots of music.

Last month saw the launch of the website for the Liverpool Irish Festival 2011, and the tickets for all the events are now on sale online. Head over to liverpoolirishfestival.com and see what’s in store for this year. Liverpool Acoustic Live next month will be hosting a special Irish Festival gig on 28th October. Details for that are on the festival website too and in the printed brochure available at numerous venues around town.

And while we’re doing advance notices, Liverpool Acoustic Live on Friday November 25th features the return to the View Two of the talented Jon Gomm, who will be supported on the night by The Manouchetones. We’re just waiting to finalise the name of the second support act, but once that’s done we’ll be putting the tickets on sale. Keep an eye out on our twitter feed and facebook for the announcement.
