In NEWS BLAST #8 we put out an appeal for news about Sharon Jones who was one of our original door helpers at the Liverpool Acoustic Live events and who’d been out of touch for some time.
Yesterday we were contacted by Sharon’s friend Gill Brown with some very sad news.
Sadly Sharon passed away on 5th May this year after being diagnosed with cancer. She spent her last 2 weeks in Marie Curie where she received the best of care and attention.
Sharon although not from a big family was ‘rich in friends’ (her quote) and was loved by many.
Her interests were wide and varied but she had a great love of animals and was a passionate supporter of animal welfare, arranging music events and gigs in the past particularly in support of Garston Animal Rescue.
Her death was a shock to many as Sharon wished to keep her illness private right up until the end, but her passing was peaceful and she will always be remembered as ‘Our brave and beautiful friend’
