A well-known phrase would have us believe “everyone’s a critic” and that may well be true, but not everyone puts that skill to good use. Well, here’s your chance to change that.
Liverpool Acoustic are looking for people to join our team of reviewers. We’re constantly receiving requests to review new music releases and live music events but often have to turn them down due to a shortage of reviewers.
So, if you’ve got a flair for writing and a passion for music then why not get in touch? If you’re reviewing an album you get to keep it (a bonus if you actually like it!) and if you’re reviewing a live music event you often get in for free on a press pass or guest list.
UPDATE 15/6/11 – Many thanks to all of those who’ve volunteered. We now have a full house, and aren’t taking on any more for the moment.
If you’re accepted then not only will your words be published on the Liverpool Acoustic news and reviews page for all the world to see, you’ll also get a warm fuzzy feeling inside that money just can’t buy. That’s got to be worth it, hasn’t it?
Liverpool Acoustic is the only website of its kind in the UK. It was founded by Graham Holland in April 2008 as a central resource for the vibrant and exciting acoustic music scene in Liverpool and the Greater Merseyside area. The website publishes news from the local acoustic music scene, previews of upcoming events, reviews of music releases and gigs, and the Liverpool Acoustic Spotlight podcast. This content is available for free via email subscription. The diary lists acoustic events including festivals, theatre concerts, folk clubs, showcases and open mic nights.
