Liverpool Acoustic Live takes place on Friday 26th November and we’ve got the fantastic Jon Gomm performing in Liverpool for the first time in over four years. Jon is an amazing percussive guitarist and singer-songwriter, and his live shows are not to be missed.
Supporting Jon on the night will be Megan Thomas, winner of OpenMic UK 2009 and the Make It Break It 2010 competition, plus Jo Bywater who’ll be performing ahead of the lauch of her debut solo album next month.
It all takes place in the intimate and friendly View Two Gallery on Mathew Street. Doors open at 8.00pm, and music runs from 8.30pm to 11.15pm.
If you’re interested in guitars in any shape or form then the Merseyside Guitar Show is the place to be this Sunday 28th November.
It’s taking place between 10.00am and 5.00pm at Aintree Racecourse Exhibition Centre, and as well has having stalls and displays from over 70 exhibitors, there’s also some great live music, including Adam Palma, Poland’s number one acoustic sensation, and The Suburbians.
Monday 29th November sees an acoustic night at Mello Mello on Slater Street, featuring Peggy Brainshild, Stuart Todd, Rachael Dunn, Evil Piccolo, and Bysanders. Entry is only £4 on the door, or £3 in advance from the bar, and doors open at 8.00pm.
Liverpool Acoustic is the only website of its kind in the UK. It was founded by Graham Holland in April 2008 as a central resource for the vibrant and exciting acoustic music scene in Liverpool and the Greater Merseyside area. The website publishes news from the local acoustic music scene, previews of upcoming events, reviews of music releases and gigs, and the Liverpool Acoustic Spotlight podcast. This content is available for free via email subscription. The diary lists acoustic events including festivals, theatre concerts, folk clubs, showcases and open mic nights.
