Acoustic events at Mello Mello, 16th and 17th April

There’s a double helping of Mello Mello acoustic events this Friday 16th and Saturday 17th April.

For those of you who have never visited, Mello Mello is a community outreach cafe, bar and venue hidden away in the shadow of the uber-consumerism that is Liverpool One. It’s seen as the antidote to the chrome, glass and steel multi-trillian pound development, and prides itself on running as an ethical, morally and socially aware independent community project.

Now fully licenced MelloMello proudly serves all organic, non-conglomerate branded beers, ales, ciders, wines and spirits whilst continuing to serve up the best cup of locally-roasted, fairly traded coffee in Liverpool. Not forgetting, of course, one of the largest selections of teas and herbal infusions in the city, plus their home-cooked vegetarian cuisine and vegan cakes!

Friday 16th April sees The Tiger Who Came To Tea And Had A Curry, a charity fundraising night in aid of the Douglas Memorial Children’s Home in India. It starts at 7.30pm and it’s only £2 in.

They’ve got a super bill featuring The Grand, Laura James, Art Nouveau, Greenwich Tea Party, and Dj Salad.

Saturday 17th May sees the Acoustic Afternoon, hosted by Lost At Sea Records. It starts at 2.00pm and finishes around 5.00pm with an acoustic jam session.

On the bill are Rachel James, SLUTCO, Dogstar, Skirmish, Peggy Brainchild, and more. Plus, it’s free entry. Can you think of a better way to spend your Saturday afternoon? No, neither can we!
