Postponed and cancelled events

There are so many events in the Liverpool Acoustic diary these days that it’s not possible for us to contact every single event organiser on a regular basis just to check that their event is still running.

We are therefore grateful to those of you who keep us up to date with what’s happening, and (just as importantly) what’s not happening.

One of our supporters (thanks Tony!) has informed us of the closure of a number of regular events, while event organisers have let us know about some others. So here goes…

The welcome return of ACOUSTIC SLICE which was due to take place on Tuesday 9th December has been postponed due to unforseen circumstances. Alun Parry (for ’tis his event) tell us that it will return in the new year on a date to be confirmed. Rest assured, once we know we’ll let you know too.

The OPEN MIC at THE CASA which took place every Monday evening has come to an end. It’s a shame because it’s such a great venue. Maybe it couldn’t compete with the other events that also take place on a Monday night. Who knows?

STRONG BREW was a weekly open mic event that took place at THE STATIC GALLERY on Roscoe Lane. Unfortunately this is no longer a going concern – could the brew have been a little too strong?

ACOUSTIC BLISS the weekly acoustic showcase and open mic night at the BLACKBURNE ARMS HOTEL is on hold for the time being due to refurbishment work at the venue. Sue Cullen reports that the event will continue at some time in the future, and that the Acoustic Dream events at The Zanzibar are still taking place.

There is some doubt about whether or not JOHNSONS SONGWRITERS CLUB is still going. If anyone knows either way please contact us and let us know.

SATORI & SONG is on hold until some time in the New Year. Hannah Platt assures us that it will continue, although it could possibly end up at a different venue on a different night of the week. Once again, we’ll let you know as soon as we have any news.

If you find anything else in the Liverpool Acoustic Diary liverpoolacoustic.co.uk/diary that’s not accurate, please let us know by using the Contact Us form on the website or by emailing contact[at]liverpoolacoustic.co.uk – remembering to replace the [at] with an @ (as if you didn’t know!).

Finally, we don’t want you to think that events are being cancelled left, right and centre and that there will be nothing left to go to. On the contrary – there are three new events that have been added to the diary just this week and we’ll be telling you all about them in future News and Reviews postings.
